Who We Are Looking For
We seek a skilled Civil Engineer with expertise in municipal development and infrastructure projects to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading projects and ensuring successful execution from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee diverse projects, including infrastructure enhancements and community development, focusing on the design and implementation of essential services such as water, sewer, and transportation systems.
- Provide expert guidance to a team of engineers and designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design documentation and specifications.
- Conduct thorough cost estimates, project analyses, and design evaluations, preparing comprehensive reports and contract documents.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project clarity and alignment.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring all work meets rigorous quality standards.
- Create detailed work plans that outline schedules, milestones, and risk management strategies.
- Proactively address and resolve any project-related challenges that may arise.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the relevant province.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal engineering and project oversight.
- Familiarity with materials testing and structural design is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and project management capabilities.
- Excellent technical writing skills, with experience in drafting reports and proposals.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
