Job Title: Executive Assistant to the President

Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for international development? We are seeking an Executive Assistant to the President to join our team at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).

About the Role

The Executive Assistant to the President will provide administrative support to the President and the President's Office, ensuring the efficient and effective management of the office. This includes managing the President's agenda and calendar, coordinating travel arrangements, and providing administrative support for meetings and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the President's agenda and calendar, ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, and rental cars
  • Provide administrative support for meetings and events, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items
  • Screen correspondence and analyze information required for a response
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, researchers, and other partners
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as business administration or international development
  • Proficiency in English and French at an advanced level (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in administrative support, with at least 5 years in a similar role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
