Palliative Medicine Associate Physician

Fraser Health is seeking an experienced Associate Physician to join our Palliative Medicine team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the development of our palliative care services.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in patient rounds, assessing patient care needs and developing treatment plans in consultation with attending staff.
- Perform and document admission history and physical examinations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and medication reconciliation as per CPSBC and organizational standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and contribute to the development of our palliative care services.
- Meet the qualifications and competencies outlined below.
- Medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
- Minimum of two years of accredited postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist, verified by the CPSBC.
- Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs).
- Proficiency in the English Language as established by the CPSBC and eligibility for registration with the CPSBC in the Associate Physician Class, under sponsorship by Fraser Health.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment, communicate effectively, and build relationships with other healthcare professionals.
