Responsibilities

  • Design captivating game levels that are engaging, immersive, and playable.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and game design teams to ensure seamless integration while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Work hand-in-hand with level artists to guarantee both playability and visual fidelity within the game environment.
  • Actively contribute to playtesting sessions, design discussions, and critiques to refine gameplay experiences.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the game editor for improved efficiency and functionality.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues within the game engine, ensuring a smooth and bug-free experience.
  • Partner with the Usability Lab to conduct A/B tests and other crucial usability studies to optimize player engagement.

Qualifications

  • Possess 5+ years of proven experience in video game level design, including experience on at least one AAA title.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing visual scripting and level design tools.
  • Effectively communicate design decisions and create comprehensive design documents.
  • Collaborate with partners to bring a shared vision to life.
  • Prototype innovative ideas and share them with key stakeholders.
  • Exhibit comfort and expertise in both creative and technical design discussions.
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in environmental aesthetics and their impact on gameplay.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the relationship between function and form in game level design, creating engaging and intriguing experiences.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment comprising artists, programmers, and designers. We seek individuals who excel in the dynamic environment of new game creation.
