We are seeking a Mid-Level Game Level Designer to develop captivating and immersive game environments that align with our creative objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design engaging game levels that are both enjoyable and immersive.
  • Collaborate with technical and game design colleagues to navigate constraints while ensuring high-quality level design.
  • Work closely with level artists to maintain playability and visual quality of levels.
  • Participate in playtests and design discussions to refine gameplay.
  • Assist in enhancing the game editor tools.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues within the game engine and implement solutions.
  • Work with the Usability Lab to conduct usability studies and tests.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in video game level design, with involvement in at least one AAA title.
  • Proficient in visual scripting and level design tools.
  • Ability to articulate design choices and create comprehensive design documentation.
  • Skilled in collaborating with partners to realize a unified vision.
  • Expertise in prototyping concepts and effectively communicating them to stakeholders.
  • Comfortable engaging in both creative and technical design discussions.
  • Passionate about environmental aesthetics.
  • Understanding of the balance between function and form in creating enjoyable game levels.
  • A collaborative spirit, thriving in a team environment that includes artists, programmers, and designers.
  • Adept at breaking down tasks and working with production to establish estimates and priorities.
