About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Level Designer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging and immersive game levels that meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Level Design: Design and create major game levels that are playable, enjoyable, and immersive, working closely with the technical and game design teams to ensure AAA quality levels.
  • Collaboration: Partner with level artists, technical team members, and other designers to ensure playability of levels and graphic fidelity, and to contribute to playtests and design discussions and critiques.
  • Game Editor: Help improve the game editor and troubleshoot areas that are not working in the game engine, fixing them as needed.
  • Usability Studies: Work with the Usability Lab to produce A/B tests and other important usability studies.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in video game level design with experience on at least one AAA title.
  • Skills: Experience using visual scripting and level design tools, ability to communicate design decisions and create design documents, and comfort and capability in creative and technical design discussions.
  • Teamwork: Must work well in a team spanning artists, programmers, and designers, and be able to break down tasks and work with production to produce estimates and priorities.
