Lead Solutions Architect

Overview

The Lead Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in gathering, interpreting, and disseminating business requirements for our esteemed Clients, focusing on technological solutions that align with their operational needs and objectives – ultimately driving project revenue growth. The Lead Solutions Architect is instrumental in guiding a team of Solutions Architects, providing coaching, mentorship, and direction in delivering effective and innovative technology solutions for our Client Portfolio.

• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and foundational IT architecture principles.
• Utilizes industry insights along with a strong knowledge of IT Weapons Products and Services to pinpoint opportunities within our existing Client base and potential new Clients, significantly contributing to the development of the IT Weapons project pipeline.
• Directs Client engagements, collaborating with technical specialists (Practice Directors, Enterprise Architects, and Consultants) to create and sustain Strategic Client Technology Roadmaps.
• Engages directly with clients to capture and document their technology and business requirements.
• Involved in the evaluation and formulation of Statements of Work and Proposals.
• Participates in the RFP process as necessary to devise and communicate high-level technology solutions addressing Client business challenges.
• Oversees the Statement of Work Peer Review process to ensure that solutions are pertinent and as accurate as possible.
• Leverages Infrastructure Assessments to maintain the relevance and accuracy of Client Technology Roadmaps (Technology Business Plans).
• Collaborates with technology experts within IT Weapons and vendor partners to validate proposed solutions.
• Works alongside the Sales team to present proposals and recommendations to high-profile clients in both written and presentation formats.
• Exhibits exceptional communication skills, leading and facilitating architectural design discussions with IT Weapons Clients.
• Contributes to the mentorship and development of Solutions Architects.
• Facilitates performance reporting for the team and manages the Pre-Sales board.
• Proposes innovative strategies to enhance Sales and improve Client experience (e.g., responsible for the delivery and upkeep of Calculators and Playbooks).
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and offers constructive suggestions for change.
• Assists in the recruitment and onboarding of new Solutions Architect Team members.
• Aids in the development and maintenance of Team Governance.
• Leads the review and qualification of new opportunities as presented in our internal Opportunity submission platform.
• Accountable for Solutions throughout the entire project lifecycle, engaging in the project change control process as necessary.

Education and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in a Client-facing Pre-Sales role providing technical assessments and architecting solutions.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in delivering Client Solutions in a Senior capacity.
• College Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in selling IT services.
• Experience with cloud solutions and/or managed services providers is highly valued.
• Knowledge of products from Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, Citrix, Cloud Technologies, and VMware.
• Ongoing commitment to professional development and industry certifications.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
• Ability to travel to client/vendor sites and meetings (0-25%).
• Capability to engage with a variety of challenging clients and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership (including C-level executives).
