Reporting to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering, goeasy is looking for a skilled Lead Cloud Solutions Architect (Azure). In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our expanding infrastructure and network. You will collaborate with a talented group of engineers focused primarily on Infrastructure, encompassing both Azure Infrastructure and Network management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect enhancements or new solutions within Microsoft Azure and alternative cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Cloud Engineers, Application Administrators, Data Engineers, DBAs, and DevOps teams to specify, design, develop, test, and implement cloud services and solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to team members, fostering efficiency, productivity, innovation, and collaboration across multi-functional teams.
  • Lead DevOps initiatives to optimize environment deployment and maintenance.
  • Support the data solutions team in their operational tasks and projects.
  • Regularly assess cloud applications, designs, and best practices.
  • Engage closely with internal business partners to gather requirements, design and implement solutions, manage technical operations, and address operational issues.
  • Collaborate with internal architecture, infrastructure, governance, and security teams to ensure compliance with security, governance, and business continuity standards and best practices.
  • Continuously enhance the triage and escalation process for system availability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for various environments.
  • Identify repetitive tasks and create tools and/or processes for automation.
  • Stay informed about current technology trends and best practices.
  • Respond to technical challenges in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist in estimating effort, material costs, and other related tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations, with a minimum of 3 years in Azure.
  • Experience managing Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Proficient in scripting and coding – Azure CLI, Python.
  • Extensive experience in DevOps practices, with hands-on experience using Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Terraform.
  • Expertise in Azure Data Solutions, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lake.
  • Strong knowledge of core cloud services such as VMs, Containers, App Services, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Application Gateways, Load balancers, and Storage accounts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of key technological concepts including IT architecture, Cloud technologies, applications, network infrastructure, and security.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, testing, and deploying enterprise and multi-cloud network infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of Agile/Lean principles such as Scrum, Kanban, MVP, etc.
  • Experience managing vendor-provided services, including outsourcing arrangements.
  • Experience working within a structured process methodology.
  • Strong systems aptitude with demonstrated project management and planning skills; capable of balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
