Delivery IT Solution Architect

We are seeking a talented Delivery IT Solution Architect to join our Digital Solutions team at BASF's Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory.

This role is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of comprehensive Salesforce solutions that align with our strategic business goals.

About the Role
  • Lead and orchestrate the IT solution ensuring compliance with current security and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and translate requirements into the solution design.
  • Develop and maintain the overall architecture for Salesforce and CRM digital solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Define architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices for Salesforce implementations.
  • Create comprehensive documentation of solution designs, including architecture diagrams and integration descriptions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations on Salesforce and CRM strategies.
  • Select appropriate technology stacks and platforms based on Enterprise Architecture governance policies.
  • Validate governance policies against requirements and collaborate with Agricultural Solutions Enterprise Architecture for adjustments if necessary.
  • Continuously review existing solution designs for risks and vulnerabilities, and provide suggestions for mitigation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to product teams and IT Delivery Leads throughout product lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on changes in governance policies, as well as new technology offerings to our environment.
  • Stay current with Salesforce advancements, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 7 years focused on Salesforce and CRM solutions.
  • Salesforce Architect certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Salesforce Certified Application Architect) strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, security, and integration patterns and a proven track record of leading and delivering complex Salesforce programs and projects.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM best practices, digital transformation, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical-thinking, problem-solving skills and excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
