About the Role:

Citibank Canada is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, Director to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Banking group, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing expert advice on commercial banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and executing strategies to grow our client base and increase revenue.
  • Provide expert advice on commercial banking products and services, including cash management, trade finance, and investment banking.
  • Work closely with our sales and product teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of client interactions, including meeting notes, follow-up actions, and sales pipeline updates.
  • Collaborate with our risk management and compliance teams to ensure that all client interactions and transactions are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments to provide informed advice and guidance to our clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial banking, with a strong track record of building and maintaining client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial banking products and services, including cash management, trade finance, and investment banking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or economics.
  • Professional certifications, such as CFA or CAIA, are an asset.
