Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, Director

About the Role:
Citibank Canada is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, Director to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Banking group, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing expert advice on financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored financial solutions.
- Develop and execute business plans to achieve revenue growth and expand our client base.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product specialists and credit analysts, to structure and deliver complex financial solutions.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of client interactions, business plans, and financial solutions provided.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our clients' businesses, including their financials, operations, and strategic plans.
- Provide expert advice on financial solutions, including cash management, trade finance, and investment products.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling existing clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales teams, product specialists, and credit analysts.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial banking, with a strong focus on relationship management and business development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop creative solutions.
- Deep understanding of commercial banking products and services, including cash management, trade finance, and investment products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and analyze financial statements and business plans.
- Ability to travel frequently, with occasional overnight stays.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, such as finance, business, or economics.
- Master's degree or higher in a related field is an asset.
