Key Responsibilities- Customs Clearance: Prepare and process customs documentation to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Tariff Classification: Apply harmonized tariff codes to goods and determine the level of duties and taxes to be paid.
- Documentation: Review and process customs documents, permits, and other regulatory requirements.
- Shipments: Monitor shipments until released and ensure timely delivery.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and updates to ensure compliance.
- Customer Liaison: Liaise with customers and vendors to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Availability: Must be available to work overnight shift (Midnight to 8AM Monday to Friday).
- Location: Position is fully remote, but must be local to the Windsor, ON area.
- Education: Completion of high school; completion of college or CEGEP/vocational or technical training.
- Experience: 1-2 years previous customs experience.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of tariff classification, proficiency in Excel and Word, and data entry skills.
