Job Title: Personal Support Worker – Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Personal Support Worker to join our team at Wellness Home Healthcare Services.

Job Summary:

The Personal Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to patients in their homes, focusing on nursing care and comfort. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, and setting up medical equipment
  • Perform various tasks related to patient care and comfort, including taking vital signs and maintaining inventory of supplies
  • Transport patients between care facilities and provide wheelchair or stretcher assistance as needed
  • Respond to call signals to determine patients' needs and provide timely support
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.

Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience an asset, but not required
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and maintain a high level of energy and focus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
