This role is a full-time position, typically involving daytime shifts, but may occasionally require evening, night, or on-call duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish and troubleshoot satellite communications, multiplexed signals, and automation system functions for various broadcast streams and High-Definition channels.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, master control operators, vendors, clients, and management regarding all matters impacting channel transmissions.
  • Diagnose and maintain a variety of broadcast servers, computer systems, and non-linear editing platforms utilized in digital media workflows.
  • Repair and maintain traditional broadcasting equipment, including video switchers, routing switchers, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Assist in the setup and commissioning of new facilities, as well as modifications to existing setups.
  • Keep management updated on all maintenance and repair issues or any operational concerns.
  • Update and maintain technical drawings and create new ones for assigned projects.
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on computer systems and networks.
  • Support Master Control operations as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Broadcast Engineering Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience in a broadcast engineering role.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, make informed decisions, and devise effective solutions.
  • Technical proficiency in troubleshooting both standard and high-definition broadcast video/audio signals, with a solid understanding of various automation systems and video signal flow.
  • Experience working across multiple platforms (Linux, Windows 64-bit systems, and Mac OSX), troubleshooting issues and testing updates.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Eager and willing to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
