Capital Accountant

Interior Health is seeking a skilled Capital Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the Capital Accounting Department, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership and coordination of financial and management reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in providing leadership within the Capital Accounting Department
- Coordinate financial and management reporting functions
- Record and track all capital asset acquisitions and disposals
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately reflected in financial statements
- Coordinate activities of staff engaged in financial functions
- Prepare and review internal period end reports and yearend working papers
- Compile financial reports for submission to governing bodies
- Develop and implement automation of systems to increase efficiencies

The Capital Accountant will be responsible for assisting in providing leadership within the Capital Accounting Department, coordinating the financial and management reporting functions, and recording and tracking of all capital asset acquisitions and disposals within Interior Health.
What You Will Work OnYou will be responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial management reporting functions for all capital transactions within IH in accordance with organizational policy, GAAP, MIS Guidelines, and governmental requirements.
