Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Academic Program Management Specialist to join our team at the University of Ottawa. This role will provide administrative support for various academic programs, ensuring the efficient administration of assigned programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Administration: Assist Program Directors in tracking teaching coverage and managing clinical schedules, ensuring the smooth operation of assigned programs.
  • Enrollment Management: Oversee the enrollment process for courses, providing front-line service and information for current and potential students.
  • Room Scheduling: Negotiate and secure rooms for all sections of undergraduate courses and seminar programs, ensuring that the rooms reserved meet enrollment needs.
  • Event Planning: Plan and coordinate Research Days, Orientation, and other events, providing data and support for supervisors and managers.
  • Data Analysis: Gather academic data in preparation for cyclical reviews and accreditation, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a thorough knowledge of postsecondary programs, academic regulations, and university services.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong analytical skills for compiling and analyzing information and data, and a demonstrated commitment to client service and strong interpersonal skills.
