Key Responsibilities- Personalized Planning: Collaborate with the Director of Student Success to develop and implement tailored Elmwood Success Plans that cater to each student's unique needs and goals.
- Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one coaching to students, focusing on enhancing executive functioning skills, personalized learning strategies, and tools that promote academic performance and personal growth.
- Student Empowerment: Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that empowers students to feel confident, motivated, and unstoppable in their academic pursuits.
- Collaboration: Work closely with families, teachers, and staff across all divisions to ensure a holistic approach to each student's success. Facilitate regular communication and meetings to align on student progress and needs.
- Inclusive Practices: Apply a deep understanding of special education and inclusive practices to support all Elmwood students.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Inclusive Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in academic coaching, with a strong focus on executive functioning and learning strategies.
- Skills: Proven ability to work effectively with students with diverse learning needs, organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong collaboration skills.
- Additional Assets: Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
