About the Role

The University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Academic Geriatrician to join our team. As a specialist in Geriatric Medicine, you will be responsible for providing clinical services, teaching and supervising medical students and residents, and participating in medical research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients in our Geriatric Medicine Unit, consultation teams, and specialized ambulatory clinics.
  • Teach and supervise medical students and residents in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Contribute to medical research in the field of Geriatric Medicine, including clinical, health services delivery, and medical education.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to be licensed to practice medicine in Ontario.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
  • Certification in Geriatric Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Eligibility for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher at the University of Ottawa.
