Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at Casino du Lac-Leamy. As a key member of our hotel operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm and welcoming experience to guests, with courtesy and respect.
  • Ensure a high level of service quality by utilizing available resources to satisfy guest requests and address any concerns.
  • Reserve, confirm, or register guest rooms via the hotel's computer system and ensure accurate room allocation.
  • Stay up-to-date on room availability, rates, and packages, and inform relevant departments of any changes.
  • Contribute to maximizing occupancy and revenue.
  • Communicate information about room amenities, hotel services, and local attractions to guests.
  • Stay informed about and apply various promotions offered by the hotel chain.
  • Present the bill to departing guests and process payments.
  • Manage a cash register, balancing it daily and making deposits at the end of each shift.
  • Receive and address guest feedback and suggestions, offering solutions to resolve any issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Understand and apply hotel policies and procedures, and possess a good knowledge of hotel products and services.
  • Perform other tasks to ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Diploma of Secondary Education (D.E.S.); a college diploma in hospitality or tourism is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a large establishment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to process financial transactions.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and organization.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Good knowledge of computer systems, with experience in hotel management software an asset.
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
