We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Desk Associate. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a seamless experience during their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm and welcoming experience to our guests, with a focus on courtesy and respect.
- Ensure a high level of service quality by utilizing available resources to meet guest needs and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Confirm or register guest rooms via our hotel management system and ensure accurate room allocation.
- Stay up-to-date on room availability, rates, and packages, and inform relevant departments of any changes.
- Contribute to maximizing occupancy and revenue.
- Provide guests with information on hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Stay informed about and apply various promotions and offers.
- Present guest bills and collect payments upon departure.
- Manage a cash float, balance daily, and make deposits at the end of each shift.
- Receive and address guest feedback and suggestions, offering solutions to resolve any issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Stay informed about and apply hotel policies and procedures, as well as possess a good understanding of our products and services.
- Perform other tasks to ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Diploma of Secondary Education (D.E.S.); a college diploma in hospitality or tourism is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Proficient in English.
- Ability to handle cash transactions.
- Strong sense of responsibility and organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of computer systems, with experience in hotel management software an asset.
- Availability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
