We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our Minerals and Metals Business line, you will be responsible for leading a team of Supply Chain professionals in negotiating the best value for Ausenco and our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Buyers, Expeditors, and Contract Administrators in negotiating contracts and managing procurement activities.
- Provide strategic analysis and decision-making support to project execution plans.
- Support project initiatives by working closely with Project Management, Safety, Quality, Engineering, Construction, and Cost Control teams.
- Evaluate and monitor purchase orders and contracts performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Understand and manage procurement and contracting activities in EPC and EPCM environments.
- Delegate responsibilities and assignments to team members.
- Assure staffing requirements are met to support the work.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in a business or technical field.
- SCMP or MCIPS designation(s) would be an asset.
- 15+ years of related experience in project environments managing procurement or contracts.
- Great interpersonal skills, possessing a high degree of professionalism and customer service.
- High level of knowledge on using Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project or ERP systems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.
