TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is representing a prestigious global private banking and asset management firm that focuses on tailored wealth management services. This organization excels in areas such as Asset Management, Financial Planning, Structuring & Trust Services, and combines extensive global reach with personalized client care. We are seeking a driven individual to fill the role of Operations Associate.

Key Responsibilities:
Cash Reconciliation Management
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of cash balances between custodian accounts and internal systems.
  • Coordinate with custodians for daily cash transfers to and from bank accounts.
  • Provide detailed explanations for any discrepancies.
  • Allocate income such as dividends and interest, and manage corporate actions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in operations, trading, and custodial teams to address discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly cash reconciliation reports for custodian auditors.
Trade Settlement Support
  • Understand the trade lifecycle and applicable market regulations.
  • Work alongside brokers and custodians to resolve any unmatched trades.
  • Monitor and address failed trade reports promptly.
Reconciliation of Cash Holdings
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of holdings between custodians and internal databases.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and implement necessary corrections.
Tax Compliance
  • Prepare and review tax documentation.
  • Proofread data and prepare T3, T5, T5008, and NR4 forms.
  • Manage non-resident withholding tax submissions on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee CRS/FATCA reporting and maintenance.
  • Analyze tax implications for private investments.
  • Allocate T5013 and conduct cost reviews.
  • Maintain and reconcile error accounts.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with IT solutions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for articulating issues and solutions.
  • General knowledge of the investment operations landscape.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in accounting.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the financial sector.
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is preferred.
