TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is representing a prestigious global private banking and asset management firm that focuses on tailored wealth management services. This organization is recognized for its expertise in Asset Management, Planning, Structuring & Trust, and offers a distinctive combination of international capabilities and personalized service. They are seeking a dedicated and driven individual to fill the role of Operations Associate.

Key Responsibilities:
Cash Reconciliation
  • Conduct daily reconciliation of cash balances between custodian accounts and internal systems.
  • Direct custodian transactions for cash movement to and from bank accounts on a daily basis.
  • Provide detailed explanations for any discrepancies.
  • Manage the allocation of dividends, interest, and other income, as well as process corporate actions.
  • Collaborate with fellow operations staff, trading teams, and custodian personnel to address discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit monthly cash reconciliation reports to custodian auditors.
Trade Settlement Support
  • Comprehend the trade cycle and relevant market regulations.
  • Coordinate with brokers and custodians to resolve unmatched trades.
  • Monitor and swiftly address any failed trade reports.
Reconciliation of Cash Holdings
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of holdings between custodian and internal systems.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and make necessary corrections.
Tax Responsibilities
  • Prepare and audit tax documentation.
  • Review and verify data for T3, T5, T5008, and NR4 forms.
  • Oversee the monthly remittance of non-resident withholding taxes.
  • Manage CRS/FATCA reporting and maintenance.
  • Analyze the tax implications of private investments.
  • Allocate T5013 and conduct cost reviews.
  • Maintain and reconcile error accounts.
Essential Competencies:
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Excel and a solid understanding of IT solutions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for articulating problems and solutions.
  • General knowledge of the investment operations landscape.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in accounting.
  • 3-5 years of experience within the financial sector.
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is preferred.
