About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Student Assistant to join our team at Douglas College. As a Student Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting prospective and new international students in their transition to life in Canada, BC, and the Douglas College community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist prospective and new international students with their transition to Douglas College
  • Support the Ambassador Program, Mentorship Program, and Global Engagement initiatives
  • Provide information and resources about Douglas College and the surrounding community
  • Help students develop social connections with other Douglas students
  • Assist with the creation of promotional materials for the program
  • Provide reports and updates on program activities
  • Assist with administrative duties and tasks

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in full-time studies at Douglas College
  • Must have a valid Study Permit
  • Must have a Social Insurance Number
  • Must be able to maintain a GPA of 2.3 or above
  • Must have strong leadership skills and a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team-based environment
