Student Ambassador

The Student Ambassador position at Douglas College is a unique opportunity to support prospective and new international students in their transition to life in Canada, BC, and the Douglas College community.
Key Responsibilities- Assist prospective students with navigating the college website and providing admission-related information.
- Support new international students by socially connecting with them, providing information and resources about Douglas College and the surrounding community.
- Plan, implement, and promote events within the program and for DCI.
- Recruit and manage student volunteers for GE student support programming.
- Promote Global Engagement and their programs around campus and on social media.
- Maintain a GPA of 2.3 or above.
- Develop strong leadership skills.
- Display a positive, outgoing attitude.
- Have a keen interest in working in an international setting.
- Be able to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- International students must be enrolled in full-time studies at Douglas College throughout the academic year.
- Domestic students must meet one of the following criteria: be enrolled in a minimum of one or more (3 credit) courses at Douglas College throughout the work term, or have been enrolled in a minimum of one or more (3 credit) courses at Douglas College in the term immediately preceding the work term and have indicated an intention to enroll at the college in the term immediately following the work term.
