Senior Construction Project Leader

MPA Recruitment is seeking experienced Senior Construction Project Leaders to oversee significant building and infrastructure initiatives. As a vital member of the Building Operations team, you will be responsible for managing projects valued between $1.5 million and over $100 million, collaborating closely with client representatives and subcontractors to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Foster and sustain robust relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project objectives;
  2. Assist project management teams in developing and executing construction schedules to meet deadlines and milestones;
  3. Employ your problem-solving expertise to propose innovative strategies that enhance effectiveness and efficiency for optimal project outcomes;
  4. Utilize a proactive approach to uphold compliance with our exemplary Quality Program;
  5. Leverage your experience in selecting trade partners and coordinating their activities;
  6. Apply your financial management skills to plan, oversee, and adhere to project budgets and costs;
  7. Share your expertise and serve as a mentor to project team members;
  8. Maintain open communication regarding project status and updates;
  9. Exhibit proficiency in risk management to mitigate any potential project risks;
  10. Take pride in preparing and finalizing comprehensive project reports;
  11. Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection throughout the project;
  12. Effectively implement project-specific safety standards to promote health and safety regulations among all employees and trade partners;
  13. Celebrate project achievements and play a key role in the project wrap-up process.
This Position May Be Ideal For You If You Possess
  1. Over 10 years of experience in Project Management within the ICI construction sector;
  2. A University Degree or Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and relevant industry experience;
  3. A proven history of successful project leadership and team collaboration;
  4. Exceptional leadership and organizational abilities with the capacity to influence others and resolve various client, project, and technical challenges effectively;
  5. In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, financial management, and relevant building codes and legislation;
  6. Role model status in health and safety as well as quality assurance;
  7. A strong commitment to developing, maintaining, and executing project schedules;
  8. Proficient computer skills and prior experience with scheduling software;
  9. Insight into the construction market.
