Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Simcoe Dairy Queen. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met
  • Inventory and Supplies
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit reports as required
    • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Work under pressure and in a physically demanding environment
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus and excellent oral communication skills
    • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and in a physically demanding environment. They will be required to work under pressure and to maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
