Job Title: Chief Medical Executive

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Medical Executive to join our team at Wequedong Lodge of Thunder Bay. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the medical services and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the medical services team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of care
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of medical services with other aspects of the organization
  • Provide leadership and guidance to medical staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care
  • Ensure that medical services are delivered in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior leadership position in a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of fiscal management and budgeting
  • Proven ability to negotiate and investigate in a unionized environment
  • Sound working knowledge of human resource policies and procedures
  • Experience working with Indigenous people in a healthcare setting is an asset
