Position Overview:

This dual role as an Athletic Therapist and Performance Coach is dedicated to delivering tailored Athletic Therapy and Personal Training services to our members, fostering knowledge, motivation, and coaching to help them achieve their fitness aspirations. The individual in this position will uphold outstanding customer service standards throughout the Club and work towards enhancing the Athletic Therapy & Personal Training offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional Athletic Therapy and Personal Training services that cater to the varied needs of both new and existing clients, while nurturing relationships with Club members.
  • Ensure that all Athletic Therapy and Performance Coaching presentations and fitness evaluations adhere to established protocols and quality standards.
  • Conduct Athletic Therapy and Performance Coaching sessions, maintaining client engagement and providing suggestions, motivation, and constructive feedback throughout.
  • Facilitate timely scheduling of initial consultations for new Club members and ensure existing clients are retested every three months.
  • Guarantee that training methodologies align with standardized Club practices, customizing training plans to reflect the individual goals, limitations, and health considerations of each client.
  • Provide appropriate treatment based on client needs, goals, and preferences, regularly evaluating and adjusting treatment plans and training programs as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in Personal Training and Athletic Therapy through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) is mandatory. Additional certifications or workshops in health, wellness, and fitness are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Athletic Therapy and/or Personal Training is required.
  • Experience in sales is considered an asset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of injuries, diseases, nutrition, and conditions affecting exercise performance is essential.
  • Proven understanding of athletic therapy principles and practices, including injury prevention, assessment, and treatment.
  • Successful completion of a nationally recognized Personal Training Certification is required, with additional health and nutrition certifications being an advantage.
