Massage Therapist Opportunity at Homewood Health

We are seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team at Homewood Health, a leading provider of mental health and addiction services. As a Massage Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our clients and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, needs, and preferences to tailor massage sessions
  • Perform a range of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, active release, and cranial sacral therapy
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and document treatment in patients' charts according to HHC policies and the CMTO's clinical documentation standards
Requirements:
  • Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)
  • Experience treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain is an asset
  • Interest in the intersection between massage therapy and mental health
  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centric approach to care, emphasizing the importance of the mind-body connection in pain treatment
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently
