About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Homewood Health, a leading provider of mental health and addiction services. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based treatment programs that promote recovery and well-being for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans that address leisure and recreational needs
  • Provide individual and group counseling, coaching, and therapy sessions to support clients in achieving their goals
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination
  • Assess and document client progress, using standardized assessment tools and techniques
  • Develop and lead recreational and leisure programs that promote social interaction, skill development, and community integration
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related field
  • Experience working with mental health and addiction populations
  • CPR certification and registration with the Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association (CTRA) or equivalent
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
