Make a Difference in Mental Health

Homewood Health is seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify patient-centered goals that lead to meaningful outcomes
  • Provide personalized counseling and coaching; develop group and individualized programs
  • Assume a therapeutic role in the motivation, counseling, supervision, and instruction of patients in treatment interventions
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate psycho-educational and experiential groups
  • Document treatment and ongoing progress on patients, according to Recreation Therapy, Program, and Hospital standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy
  • Experience working with mental health and addictions populations
  • CPR Certification is required
  • Registration (R/TRO) or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required within 1 year of hire
