Position Overview

Role Summary

Location: Toronto, ON - hybrid

As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining relationships with essential community organizations within your designated area. Your primary responsibility will be to connect local services that assist clients in overcoming employment barriers and identifying suitable pathways to gainful employment. As the lead for community integration, you will become well-versed in the array of services and support systems available in your region.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain regular communication with community partners to share updates on project developments, achievements, and challenges.
  2. Work closely with management and local operational teams to evaluate the needs of the client base.
  3. Identify and pursue opportunities for engagement with local forums, working groups, and committees to promote the services offered by WCG.
  4. Actively participate in relevant meetings and committees, advocating for transparency in our services and fostering a collaborative multi-agency approach to service integration.
  5. Encourage a collaborative and inclusive team culture, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and excellence in service delivery.
  6. Prepare and present reports, summaries, and analyses to stakeholders and senior management, documenting project outcomes and impacts.
  7. Serve as the primary contact for community service providers, ensuring that inquiries regarding referrals or partnership matters are addressed promptly.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  1. Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred.
  2. Knowledge of the local service landscape that provides specialized support or serves diverse inclusion groups.
  3. Understanding of local public sector services and contracted services.
  4. Experience in an outcomes-driven environment.
  5. Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to cultivate effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Capability to engage with a diverse range of individuals, including executives, senior managers, and frontline staff.
  8. Proficient in building partnerships and recognizing collaboration opportunities.
  9. Flexibility to adapt to various organizational cultures.
  10. Resilience and a sales-oriented mindset with the ability to engage audiences in a personable manner.
  11. High standards of advocacy, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  12. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
  13. Skilled in data analysis and reporting, focusing on measuring the effectiveness of initiatives.
