Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison with the construction management team to communicate project details, including work sequencing and duration, ensuring the public is well-informed.
  • Monitor construction timelines and provide real-time updates to the communications team to facilitate the creation of accurate public communications.
  • Engage with residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and address any concerns related to construction activities.
  • Organize and facilitate public meetings, open houses, and community events, ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
  • Support the development of community engagement materials and maintain a comprehensive events calendar.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary diploma in communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience in community relations or corporate communications, particularly in transit or construction projects.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
