About the Department:
The Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences encompasses the fields of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Statistics. These disciplines are essential to advancements in science, engineering, and various academic pursuits. Our programs cover a broad spectrum of topics, including Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, and Applied Statistics.

Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and creative Community Engagement and Marketing Coordinator. This position is pivotal in not only supporting but also shaping our department's marketing and engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to craft and implement strategies that enhance our department's visibility, foster a dynamic community, and improve the student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies across various marketing channels to achieve outreach objectives.
  • Maintain and update content on digital platforms and printed materials.
  • Promote experiential learning opportunities and departmental events to boost student engagement.
  • Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of events.
  • Deliver presentations and facilitate educational workshops and seminars.
  • Provide guidance on marketing best practices and assess the effectiveness of campaigns and programs.
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with brand identity and institutional style guidelines.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in coordinating marketing and communication strategies, preferably in a higher education context.
  • Proficiency in writing, designing, editing, proofreading, and publishing content for both online and offline platforms.
  • Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and engaging messages.
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in a respectful and collegial environment.
