Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Onico Solutions. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the project team and managing the budget and work plan across the Project Management Lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Coordination: Ensure alignment with the PMO Project Portfolio to identify and manage cross-project dependencies, including risks, issues, requirements, design, and solutions.
  2. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with sponsors and stakeholders to identify projects that can be managed as a project, and ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  3. Project Oversight: Have oversight of the purpose and status of the project, and use this oversight to support project-level activity to ensure goals are met.
  4. Project Management: Manage project communication, scope, schedule, risk assessment, quality standards, cost, and resources within a dynamic matrix environment.
  5. Team Development: Identify and close skill or knowledge gaps on a project team to ensure best outcomes, and build and maintain relationships with internal partners and external vendors/consultants.
  6. Risk Management: Identify and minimize exposure to risk on a project, and track, monitor, and resolve project issues.
  7. Communication: Provide timely project status updates to the AVP PMO, project sponsors, user community, and internal IT management.
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate with project team members as needed to resolve related issues, such as infrastructure, planning, cross-process impact, operational readiness, etc.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 4-7 years managing large programs in an IT environment.
  2. Knowledge: Solid knowledge of financial/banking services products and processes, including collections process, underwriting process, etc.
  3. Cross-Functional Experience: Cross-Functional Business Change Management experience, including people, process, and tools.
  4. Progressive Experience: 6 years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience.
  5. Technical Skills: Knowledge of SAP is an advantage, and demonstrated knowledge of PMLC and PMP Certification (optional).
  6. Industry Knowledge: Solid knowledge of ITIL and COBIT.
  7. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and influence executive and peers to ensure best possible outcomes.
  8. Communication Skills: Good verbal/written communication skills, excellent listening, coaching, group facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  9. Problem-Solving Skills: Good problem-solving skills, and well-developed interpersonal and client/vendor management and relationship skills.
  10. Team-Building Skills: Excellent team-building skills, and proven risk management.

This is a minimum 6-month hybrid role located in downtown Toronto.
