About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at SQ Construction. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our construction sites and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise a team of 5-10 maintenance personnel, including tilesetters, plasterers, drywall installers, and fence erectors.
    • Provide guidance and training to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
    • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
    • Estimate costs and materials for maintenance projects.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Communication and Administration
    • Prepare and submit reports on maintenance activities and costs.
    • Communicate with stakeholders, including management, employees, and contractors.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a maintenance or supervisory role.
    • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Organized and reliable with a strong attention to detail.
  • Work Environment
    • Willing to travel to various locations.
    • 30 to 40 hours per week.
