Head of Employee Relations

About the Role:
In the capacity of Head of Employee Relations at Maple Leaf Foods, you will be instrumental in steering the HR Employee Relations team. Collaborating with numerous manufacturing and distribution sites, you will manage all facets of Employee and Labour Relations. This role entails the strategic implementation of the Employee and Labour Relations framework and operational blueprint for the organization.
A Glimpse into Your Daily Responsibilities:- Guide, mentor, and support plant-based HR personnel on Employee Relations issues
- Contribute to the formulation of the Maple Leaf Employee Relations strategic and tactical roadmap
- Serve as the representative for the negotiation of Collective Agreements
- Foster a collaborative and integrated approach to Employee and Labour Relations
- Ensure the effective development of labour relations competencies through training initiatives
- Assist various sites with constructive employee relations activities
- Lead and provide expertise on specialized projects
Qualifications You Bring:
- 7-10 years of experience in Human Resources and Employee Relations
- Proven expertise in leading collective agreement negotiations
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on coaching and collaboration
- Comprehensive understanding of employment laws
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to assess data and recognize trends proficiently
- Solid business insight and experience in labour analytics
- Bachelor's Degree or completion of a College Diploma in Human Resources or a related field
