Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tour Guide Supervisor to join our team at Discover Banff Tours Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising tour guides, ensuring seamless and exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Coordinate and supervise tour guides to ensure efficient and effective tour operations
    • Establish and maintain high standards of customer service and quality
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance guide skills and knowledge
  • Operational Management
    • Plan and coordinate tour schedules, itineraries, and logistics
    • Manage tour guide rosters, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage
    • Monitor and control tour operations, making adjustments as needed to ensure smooth execution
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure exceptional customer experiences through proactive communication and issue resolution
    • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, tour operators, and other stakeholders
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on tour operations, customer feedback, and guide performance
    • Manage tour guide documentation, including training records and performance evaluations
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Proficiency in MS Outlook and other relevant software
