Job Overview:

As a Winery Associate at Arterra Wines Canada, you play a crucial role in crafting memorable experiences for our visitors. Your engagement from the moment guests arrive significantly contributes to their lasting impressions through exceptional wine tasting experiences and more.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and interact with guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner, encouraging individuality and kindness.
  • Perform tasting room tasks including narrating our story, serving wine samples, providing food service, managing wine and merchandise inventory, executing wine sales, promoting membership in our wine club, operating the POS system, and maintaining cleanliness of glassware, along with daily closing duties as assigned by management.
  • Assist the team in achieving sales objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Possession of a Serving It Right certification is required.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality, wine, and food is essential.
  • WSET or ISG certification is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a solid work ethic are necessary, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must demonstrate a courteous, friendly, and positive demeanor.
  • Physical ability to lift 40 lbs and remain standing for extended periods.
  • Availability to work weekends during the busy season.
