Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Wine Associate to join our team at Nk'Mip Cellars District Wine Village. As a Wine Associate, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable guest experiences, from warmly welcoming visitors to facilitating educational wine tastings and promoting wine sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage guests with enthusiasm and kindness, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct tastings, share our story, and promote wine sales and our wine club, driving revenue growth and increasing customer loyalty.
  • Perform tasting room duties, including processing sales, maintaining merchandise and wine levels, and ensuring a pristine winery environment.
  • Assist in achieving sales targets, working collaboratively with the sales team to drive revenue growth.
  • Conduct daily cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for team members and guests.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 19 and possession of a Serving It Right certificate.
  • Team player willing to assist in all areas of business as needed, including tastings, retail sales, and events.
  • Passion for people, wine, and hospitality, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Detail-oriented, multitasking ability, and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Courteous, friendly, and positive attitude, with a focus on building strong relationships with guests and colleagues.
  • Commitment to a healthy and safe environment for team members and guests, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Related training (WSET/ISG) and/or second language an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Able to work weekends throughout the season, with a focus on meeting business needs and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
