About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Merchandising Strategy and Business Development to join our team at Sephora Canada. As a key member of our Merchandising team, you will be responsible for driving cross-category sales growth, profitability, and efficiencies through strategic guidance and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and profitability across various product categories.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to facilitate commercial planning processes and coordinate cross-world merchandising programs.
  • Evaluate Sephora's pricing and promotions strategies, creating reports and presenting performance insights to executive teams.
  • Analyze data to inform merchandising program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to Sephora Canada's key strategies, evaluating the viability of new initiatives and special projects.
  • Provide objective analyses of initiatives, developing analytics and presenting findings to leadership.
  • Partner with COE and planning teams to strategize tools and processes, driving successful improvements for merchandising and planning teams.
  • Help launch pilot programs to test and learn, reporting findings and making recommendations to the Merchant team.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of retail management experience, with an undergraduate degree and expertise in a high-growth retail environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with experience in Smartsheet, Tableau, and Circana/NPD.
  • Mastered collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to balance data with subjective points of view.
  • Attention to detail and strategic analytical expertise, with the ability to prioritize deadlines.
