About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Merchandising Strategy to join our Shoppers Drug Mart E-Commerce team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our e-commerce business through sales planning, promotional planning, and leading various growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve annual sales and margin targets, building forecasts and plans to drive business growth.
  • Own and execute the e-commerce promotional plan, leveraging promotions to drive sales while optimizing for return on investment.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to improve process efficiencies, drive incremental margin, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our on-site and in-app experience through site/web analytics, identifying opportunities to improve customer journeys and conversion rates.
  • Leverage data and analytics to drive customer and merchandising insights, informing strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Manage a team of Senior Analysts, leveraging data to drive business growth and develop an analytics and insights centre of excellence.
  • Lead our 3rd party marketplace strategy, planning, and execution, partnering with external partners to drive growth.
  • Present insights and partner with various teams across Loblaw Digital and Shoppers Drug Mart to drive business growth.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, analytics, e-commerce, or a high-growth technology company, with strong business acumen.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and developing direct reports.
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, form hypotheses, and build plans to solve problems.
  • Analytical skills, with experience building SQL queries, data visualization tools, and programming languages such as Python.
  • Communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas into simple messages.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to spearhead initiatives across large cross-functional teams.
  • Acts like an owner, taking accountability, prioritizing to maximize impact, and making decisions to drive business growth.
