Job Title: HR Business Partner

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at Western Coast Insurance Services. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting our business leaders to achieve their goals while ensuring that our employees are engaged, developed, and retained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to support people management, employee relations, and performance objectives
  • Provide leadership support in areas of employee relations, wellness, engagement, succession, and talent development
  • Work with business managers to develop and implement strategies that support employee development, engagement, and retention
  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide support to leaders on employee relations matters
  • Collaborate with the HR team to inform business issues and priorities, and help formulate solutions

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of progressive Human Resource experience, with 2-3 years of direct HR Business Partner or HR advising/consulting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Standards/Labour Law, Change Management, Employee Relations, Performance Improvement, and Resource Planning
  • Demonstrated understanding of the development and administration of large-scale projects, HR policies, practices, and procedures
  • Experience in supporting engagement programs and partnering in survey design and implementation an asset
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline, Certified Professional Human Resources (CPHR) designation an asset
