With a strong commitment to reconciliation and recognized as a national leader in community-focused programs, particularly in remote and rural regions, Assiniboine Community College has been delivering outstanding educational experiences through applied learning and research for over six decades. The college operates multiple campuses and offers a diverse array of over 60 unique certificate, diploma, and advanced credential programs to more than 4,100 full-time students across various fields. Ambitious growth plans are underway, including the introduction of new and expanded programs aimed at aligning student outcomes with the demands of the local and national labor market.

Assiniboine Community College is actively seeking a Deputy Director for the Nursing Division. This vital role is instrumental in aligning the academic objectives of the Nursing Division with the broader priorities of the college and involves collaboration with external stakeholders, including professional organizations, governmental bodies, employers, and community groups. Reporting directly to the Dean of the Nursing Division, the Deputy Director will provide both academic and operational leadership, promote collaborative decision-making, oversee the delivery of high-quality programs and exceptional teaching, and strengthen community partnerships during a period of significant growth.

The ideal candidate for the Deputy Director position will possess a graduate degree in Nursing or a related discipline, hold a valid Manitoba LPN or RN license in good standing (or be eligible for licensure), and have demonstrated leadership experience within a post-secondary educational environment. Candidates should exhibit a steadfast commitment to reconciliation, quality education, and student success, complemented by excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical capabilities are essential for fostering data-informed and collegial decision-making. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to develop programs and partnerships that align with the goals of the Nursing Division and the college.
