The college operates multiple campuses and offers more than 60 distinct certificate, diploma, and advanced credential programs to over 4,100 full-time students across various fields. Assiniboine Community College is seeking a Deputy Director in the Nursing Education department. This vital role is essential in aligning the academic initiatives of the Nursing School with the college's strategic priorities while engaging with external stakeholders, including professional organizations, governmental bodies, employers, and community groups. Reporting directly to the Dean of Nursing, the Deputy Director will provide both academic and operational leadership, promote collaborative decision-making, oversee high-quality educational programs, and strengthen community partnerships during a period of significant growth.
The ideal candidate for the Deputy Director position will possess a graduate degree in Nursing or a related discipline, hold a valid Manitoba LPN or RN license in good standing (or be eligible for licensure), and have demonstrated leadership experience in a post-secondary educational environment. Candidates should exhibit a steadfast commitment to reconciliation, quality education, and student success, along with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical capabilities are essential for fostering data-driven and collegial decision-making. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to develop programs and partnerships that align with the priorities of the Nursing School and the college.
