Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefits Administrator to join our team at Ellement Consulting Group Limited Partnership. As a key member of our administration team, you will provide high-quality administration services to multiple clients and demonstrate outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls from members and other contacts about benefits in a professional manner.
  • Make adjusting entries to the benefit eligibility database as necessary.
  • Adjudicate health and dental claims fully, verifying claim information for accuracy and eligibility.
  • Review and follow up on claims on hold daily with internal departments or external contacts.
  • Contact healthcare providers, insurance carriers, or claimants to verify claims-related information.
  • Review and correct daily quality assurance follow-up items.
  • Collect information requested by members and health service providers, and coordinate mail-out with Reception.
  • Compile and summarize details about claim adjustments, claim appeals, and pension-related issues.
  • Provide general administrative support, such as typing, data entry, photocopying, filing, scanning, etc.
  • Contribute to the team's effort by completing other administrative tasks or projects.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English is essential. Bilingual in French would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with pension plans, health benefit plans, or in the life insurance or financial services industry would be an asset.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
