At The Tasting Room, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and organized Executive Chef to oversee the preparation and presentation of our menu items. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management, with experience in supervising a team of cooks and other kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities

* Estimate labour costs and maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
* Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
* Create new recipes and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
* Requisition food and kitchen supplies
* Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
* Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
* Recruit and hire staff

Requirements

* Safe Food Handling certificate
* 5 years or more of experience in a similar role
* Strong leadership and organizational skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Physically demanding work
* Attention to detail
* Bending, crouching, kneeling
