Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Disability Administration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our absence management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and administering various leave of absences and time off plans for our colleagues across all divisions of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 2 level support for inquiries regarding leave of absences and time off policies, ensuring accurate and timely responses to meet the needs of our colleagues.
  • Investigate and resolve inquiries professionally and confidentially, maintaining the highest level of discretion and respect for our colleagues' personal information.
  • Collaborate with internal and external providers to resolve issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and deliver leave of absence training programs to educate colleagues on our absence management policies and procedures.
  • Administer short-term and long-term disability benefits, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company policies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and claims payments, maintaining the highest level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in French (mandatory), with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of 1 year of disability administration experience, with a strong understanding of benefits legislation and HRIS systems.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, with a strong foundation in HR principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, particularly Workday, with experience in data entry and management.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
  • Excellent customer service focus, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with experience in data entry and management.
  • Data entry skills and ability to manage large volumes of data, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Previous SAP experience is an asset, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Adaptability and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
