We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Substance Use Outreach Clinician to join our Specialized Services/Interprofessional Teams department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide community-based services to at-risk youth, focusing on assessment, early interventions, and referrals to address substance use and mental health concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Provide community engagement and outreach services to at-risk youth in various settings, including street-based, school, and community environments.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address substance use and mental health issues.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and community partners to provide support, guidance, and education.
- Work within the framework of Harm Reduction in substance use, promoting its benefits in collaborative work with collateral service providers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to enhance service delivery and promote youth treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Bachelor's degree in an Allied Health, Behavioural or Social Science field relevant to the position.
- Two years of recent experience in a health setting working with complex youth clients with concurrent disorders.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and treatment skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
